How it all started...
Apostle Edward and Shirley Tibbs established Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in 1979. The church began in a home church on West Elm Street in Lima, Ohio. Next, the church was located in a store front on Collet Street in Lima. Last, the church building on West Kibby Street was purchased and this is where the church continues to meet to this day. Apostle Ed and Shirley pastored for 36 years before passing the baton to Pastor Damian & Brooke Tibbs in 2015.
Expanding the vision...
Pastor Damian and Brook Tibbs have been leading New Life since April 2015. Damian and Brooke share a passion for seeing people come alive in a relationship with Jesus Christ. God has anointed Damian to preach the gospel in a way that empowers the lives of others. While Brooke has been graced with a faith that the Lord uses to bring healing and prophetic words of encouragement. They are, also, the parents of three children.
